March 27, 2018 –Real estate investment and development company Mariposa East, LP, an affiliate of Harvard Investments, Inc. is proud to announce Price Land & Development Group has purchased 10 acres of the Mariposa Master Planned Community outside Rio Rancho, New Mexico 30 minutes north of Albuquerque.

The 10-acre acquisition includes 41 single-family residential lots to comprise the Jemez Vista neighborhood as part of the larger 6,500-acre Mariposa Master Planned Community. It is the newly formed Price Land & Development firm’s first acquisition.

Mariposa, a 6,500-acre master planned community outside picturesque Rio Rancho, New Mexico, includes a large portion that will never be developed. The Mariposa Preserve, owned by The Albuquerque Academy, and consisting of 2,200 acres of dedicated open space within the heart of Mariposa, is protected in perpetuity. Additionally, the community includes Silver LEED- certified Residents’ Community Center, indoor and outdoor pools, Fitness Center, movement studio for yoga and other classes, kitchen and social area, community park including various ball courts, playground, ramadas and picnic areas, pop jet fountain, and renowned monumental sculptural art. Within Mariposa East you’ll also find The Point Grill restaurant as well as a LEED-certified office and retail complex.
Mariposa East, LP, an affiliate of Harvard Investments, purchased Mariposa East in 2014. These 1,465 acres will continue to be developed over time, with amenities, neighborhoods and homes already built and in use by approximately 500 owners with 2,500 total homes planned for Mariposa East at build out.

Price Land & Development plans to prepare the 41 lots for two local homebuilders to begin building Jemez Vista in September 2018. Mariposa currently has ten neighborhoods available, including five award-wining builders and custom home neighborhoods with estate-sized home sites. Homes are designed for retirees, couples, single individuals and families of every size and type. Both seasonal and full-time residents call Mariposa home. Homes range from approximately 1,500 square feet to approximately 4,500 square feet. Prices currently range from the low $200,000s to the $400,000s.
