Five Fun Father’s Day Ideas in the Rio Rancho/Albuquerque Area

Posted on June 3, 2023

Father’s Day is coming up fast, and soon, you’ll have your chance to take a day devoted to spending time with your own Super Dad. Whether he’s a techie, outdoorsy, a sports fan, an avid history buff or an interesting mix of all of the above, we’ve rounded up some activities and specials in the Rio Rancho area that will show dad your appreciation for exactly who he is.

Note: As the events surrounding COVID-19 continue to evolve, specific information may change.

  1.  Quiet Waters Paddling Adventures

This outdoor adventure on the Rio Grande River gives visitors the opportunity to embark on a number of different tours. From guided to self-guided down the Coronado course or the Bosque course, Quiet Waters offers rafting, floating and paddling for any level of adventure.

In response to the coronavirus, take-away rentals are now available during limited hours Fridays through Sundays by reservation only. They do not anticipate resuming regular tour operations until vehicle capacity requirements are removed in their entirety, although they are working on developing an option that would involve delivery and pickup of watercraft at the river, while customers would be required to arrange their own shuttle transportation.
