New Mexico Highlands University Rio Rancho Center
Hoping to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree? New Mexico Highlands University, a public institution based in Las Vegas, N.M., has a branch campus in Rio Rancho, where degrees are offered in business (online), psychology, criminal justice, social work, teacher education, educational leadership, counseling (school, rehabilitation and licensed professional), as well as an MBA (online) and a Master of Social Work (MSW). CNM Rio Rancho
Looking to pursue a new profession? The Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) Rio Rancho campus offers courses in general education, nursing, emergency medical technician training, business and teacher education. The campus, at 2601 Campus Blvd. NE in Rio Rancho, is about 15 minutes from Mariposa.
The UNM Health Sciences Rio Rancho
The UNM Health Sciences Center Rio Rancho, formerly UNM West, focuses on health-professional training. It offers a 20-month College of Nursing Program and 36-hour medical-assistant certification through the UNM Office of Community Health in partnership with CNM. The center will be home to a community mental-health clinic. There also are plans to connect the campus to the Sandoval Regional Medical Center through roadways and walking paths. The campus, at 2600 College Blvd. NE in Rio Rancho, is 11 minutes from Mariposa.
Rio Rancho Public Library
